Launching of “PEACOQ” – First Indian Foiler.

The world of sailing has entered a new era with foils. Attached to the hull of a boat, the foils act like submerged wings by lifting the boat over the water. The existing hydrofoilers are too technical, too expensive and too powerful. So we decided to develop a hydrofoiler with a specification meeting the market expectations: the PEACOQ. She will have to be simple, reassuring and sensational.

After two months of construction the peacoq is ready to fly over the waves at the pondicherry sea. PEACOQ will be the first foiler built in india.

The Classic Moth Boat is an ideal class for amateur builders and can be easily built from inexpensive materials. For these reasons Ultramarine conceptualized the idea of build-and-sail your boat. Ultramarine provided the plans, material and expertise in boat building to a group of enthusiasts from Pondicherry Sailing Association to build their own Moth and then race them. Ultramarine is currently assisting eight individuals in the Moth building project to start construction of the International Moth.
